NIH Public Access Policy:
the National Institutes of Health requires that all investigators funded by the NIH submit to the National Library of Medicine’s PubMed Central an electronic version of their final peer-reviewed manuscripts. The Nature Publishing Group, which produces the journal Nature and other publications, announced that it will offer a free service to deposit authors’ pieces in PubMed Central and its British equivalent to comply with new requirements and many scientists’ desire to have their work available free and online through open access archives.

GLRCE researchers will conduct collaborative research in the new Howard T. Ricketts Regional Biocontainment Laboratory being constructed by the University of Chicago at Argonne National Laboratory. More information about the lab can be found here. The GLRCE is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
