GLRCE Annual Meeting
The Fifth Annual GLRCE Meeting is over...
The event was a success with extensive exchange of science between GLRCE researchers, with sessions covering the following areas of interest:
- Viruses & Viral Pathogenesis
- Gram-Positive Pathogens
- New Therapies for Biodefense Agents
- Vaccines and Host Responses to Infection
- Gram-Negative Pathogens
- Toxins
The total headcount was 111 people, showing an active participation of the GLRCE researchers sharing their newest and most exciting results.
In addition the scientific group also included members of the external Scientific Advisory Board, our Program Officer Michael Schaefer, and the GLRCE Executive Board.

On Saturday afternoon, after the end of the main sessions of the event, the GLRCE Executive Board ran a study section to review the ongoing GLRCE program and the current grant applications.
27 proposals for Developmental Projects have been reviewed.

Friday, the low country style dinner on the deck was a good opportunity for enjoyment, although for once the South Carolina weather was a little cold.

Agenda of the scientific presentations
We are looking forward to the 6th GLRCE Annual Meeting that will take place next year, same place, same time
